The Middle East is an area where car is king and fuel is low-cost, frequently leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving around.
But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have risen the cost of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.
In a region that has one of the greatest carbon footprints worldwide, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving successful too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
